A Bunkhouse in Cumbria's Beautiful Eden Valley

Our Bunkhouse is situated in the heart of excellent, undiscovered walking and cycling countryside.

It has been sympathetically converted from old, sandstone farm buildings. The rustic, old beams have been retained in keeping with the history of the building, dating back to approximately 1710. Situated in a courtyard, there are three spacious bedrooms each containing two bunk beds, meaning that each room can sleep up to four people. An extra camp bed can be inserted if necessary.

The bunkhouses have been an extension to our small, family run, quiet touring caravan park and campsite. Set in the countryside, well away from main roads and the busy Lake District, yet within 25 minutes of Ullswater. Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders are also within easy distance.

Our location is ideal for cyclists, as we are situated half a mile off the C2C cycle route. We are also an excellent location for walkers, surrounded by quiet and serene public footpaths.

The kitchen has recently been converted from the “Old Dairy”. It contains a kettle, microwave, as stove, fridge, toaster, utensils and worktop/breakfast bar. Clothes drying area is also available, as well as good washing up facilities.

The showers and toilets are of a very high standard with the “Ladies” having just been completed in April 2010.

We are located eight miles from Penrith Main line station, Collection can be arranged. We are also located one mile from Lazonby railway station, which would be a perfect method of transport for a day of walking or cycling.
